Employment history
12/2005 – Present
Magnet Networks (Dublin, Ireland)
Roles: Network Engineer, Senior Network Engineer
I have designed, implemented and operated BECS3 NMS system into Magnet's FTTH and LLU ADSL2+ footprint. I have designed Magnet's L2 VPN infrastructure using Cisco ME6524 switches and c7600 Series. I have written numerous scripts and tools for better integration of Magnet's networking infrastructure with NOC, Support and Provisioning teams. I have successfully undergone selection and testing of Magnet's both ADSL2+ and FTTH residential CPEs and business Metro Access CPE. I have worked closely with project and product management to design and create new services for both residential and corporate part of the business. Furthermore I have provided a 3rd tier support for NOC team.
3/2000 – 11/2005
NASK – National Research and Academic Networks (Warsaw, Poland)
Roles: Network Operator, Network Engineer
Firstly I worked for NOC department, where I have achieved great knowledge of managing and troubleshooting ATM and IP networks as well as Linux and SUN servers. Then after 2 years I moved to Network Development department. Here I have possibility to design customer VPN networks, customer internet access and network architecture for NASK core networks. My main topics were designing QoS (Quality of Service) architecture and testing environment, also in-depth research on MPLS. Other topic was building and implementing network management software for the NOC team. I had completed many smaller projects for our customers, including internet access, vpn design. Lastly my main duty was designing SDH/ATM core network upgrade. I was involved in building our in-house network management solution together with hardware inventory, trouble ticketing and network costs calculation software.
